Emily began her career in advertising where she spent a decade plus immersed in the creative process, managing iconic brands and honing her client service skills. She left Madison Avenue once her girls, Sage and Ginger, were born to have more time with them. But, a still burning creative energy fueled Emily to pursue her passion for design and launch Sage and Ginger in 2008.  What began as a custom decorative pillow company, quickly evolved and grew into a full-service interior design firm specializing in ground-up construction, renovations and full home furnishing. With projects spanning from Maine to Florida, Emily partners with exceptional builders and architects to create beautiful homes her clients love. It is Emily’s creativity, professionalism, responsiveness and attention to detail that distinguishes her, elevates the design and facilitates the process.

Emily believes the design is successful when both form and function are achieved. She embraces the challenge of working with different clients who have a range of aesthetics as it keeps things exciting and inspires fresh designs. What remains consistent is Emily’s approach; mixing materials, layering textures, adding pops of color and bringing the outside in. It’s this balanced, artful mix that creates her signature Sage and Ginger style which has garnered rave reviews, resulting in award winning work, numerous features in national and local publications and most importantly, happy clients!

Emily graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and lives in New Canaan, CT with her husband Jeff and their daughters, Sage and Ginger, Tess and Stylie .
